Care and Concern

We're Ready To Help

The Care and Concern Program was developed as a way of helping fellow police families in need.  As we all know the police family lifestyle (rotating schedule, different shifts) can be challenging.  Should families experience a life event, critical or non, we are prepared to offer our assistance.  We have a list of volunteers ready to help with preparing meals, grocery shopping, and lawn care (including snow removal).  The needs of every family will vary greatly and we will work with each family individually. Whether your family needs dinner for one night this week, or every night for the next two weeks, we are here and ready to help.

We also prepare baskets to be taken to the hospital for critical incidents.  The baskets have lots of essentials for family members of injured officers who will be spending long hours in a hospital room.  We are always taking donations for items we put in the baskets.  These items can include (but not limited to):  journal size notebooks, Sudoku/crossword puzzle books, pens, small Kleenex packages, lotion, deodorant, and various snacks (please check expiration dates and make sure the items are good for at least six months, if not more).

Personal information would be shared with only a small handful of organizers.  Stephanie, Elena, and Teresa will be the primary contacts for those requesting assistance.

We are not notified when on-the-job incidents occur.  We rely strictly on word of mouth.  If you or someone you know would benefit from any degree of assistance, please contact us.
